You are welcome I am sure, but didn't you mean to thank mrs onde, or mr sonde, instead?
mrsonde - was I wrong in thinking that head trauma, at some time in the past, is a common factor in Alzheimer's?
You mention aluminium contamination but I thought that the evidence for this was inconclusive. For example, nobody recommends that we all through out our aluminium pans are they?

I don't know. It sounds very likely. Like thinking lustful thoughts when you were a teen. Or was that just me?
As a cause, it certainly is: it's not an invariant correlate. But statistically there have been higher than usual deposits of aluminium found in Alzheimer's patients' brains, in regions near the densest plaques and tangles, and too many for it to be dismissed as mere coincidence.
Yes, they do. It's not a good idea to ingest aluminium at all. It's now known it accumulates in brain tissue, where the body seems to have no means to eradicate it; and its been known for decades that it's highly toxic to normal neuro-hormonal regulation. It's not the only environmentally common metal to do this either. The evidence is inconclusive, you're right - it generally is. But if you use anti-perspirants or most types of sunscreen, I strongly recommend you drop the habit.
