Hurricane Katrina occurred in almost the same day (August 29, 2005) and place (New Orleans) as the recent tropical storm Isaac which was hyped long in advance as another major landfalling hurricane in the making.
How would an alarmist account for this obvious decline in hurricane "energy" or "intensity" or "destructiveness" from Aug 2005 to Aug 2012?
Well, clearly, the only major difference in the 2 scenarios is that CO2 in the atmosphere has increased markedly between times.
THEREFORE (ta-daa and drum roll)
We must increase atmospheric CO2 in order to reduce the destructive, life threatening effect of storms/hurricanes!
Impeccable alarmist logic for people with a one-track mind!
Thanks for this insight to stephanthedenier.
