As expected, mrsonde makes huge claims for a particular dietary regime, but fails to point to anything that shows it is "scientifically proven" and tells people to use google. Does anyone on this board believe that anything he says here has any credibility? I'm not even sure he wants us to. True enough. What you or Fing or Jean believes has no interest for me. You're ideologues, and deluded extremist ones - you'll believe what you want, it doesn't matter what science or logic says. My "superiority"? I wasn't aware I'd ever done such a thing. But I thank you for the compliment, and acknowledge your humility. But what's "sickening", is that you're willing to try to persuade someone who has cancer to ignore information that might help them because of your own political prejudices, and your own sense of inferiority against the person who has passed on that information. And then try to claim some sort of revolting kudos because you're the one "interested in" her health! Jean's lucky that blood-letting has fallen out of fashion. Well, then don't allow yourself to imagine such nonsense, and you won't thereby be unnecessarily sickened. The world ticks by, as you are wont to say - with your typical assumed imaginary privileged access - to the laws of physics. You like to believe you know what these laws are, which, coincidentally or not, greatly financially benefit you, despite the sorrows you've suffered from such arrogance. Jean does not need to be dragged down with you, however, merely to pander to your supposed entirely imaginary competitiveness with me! ( i promise you, this delusion is entirely on your side - I feel no such competitivenss, of course. Given the atrocious standard of your posts, that would be like Usain Bolt feeling competitive with Cyril Smith.)

As expected, mrsonde makes huge claims for a particular dietary regime, but fails to point to anything that shows it is "scientifically proven" and tells people to use google. I pointed you to the original proof in our recent discussion. You did not look at it, did you? No. Why should I do it again? Am I supposed to care that you prefer to persevere in your ignorance? Unlike you, you mean? I mean, like everyone here has learned so much from your posts, right? The last post you made where you were foolish enough to make any sort of factual assertion, rather than your usual trollish insults, was that the million-plus Ugandan genocide never happened on the grounds that you had never heard about it! And before that it was, what, photons come into existence when you plug an electric light in. The Moon stays in orbit through centrifrugal force. Your soul must exist because we say "you" and "I" when we talk. You really want to argue about who has "credibility", whatever that means? Look - I'm not your teacher. If you wish to pay attention, and put in a little effort, you can learn a little more from me how the world works - because I put the work in to learn and keep up to date with what others have discovered, whereas you do not. I do so because I'm interested, whereas you are not - you think, like Alan, you know already, and would prefer to remain in that comfortable cocoon of deluded ignorance. If you don't choose to, and if science is not your interest, wtf do I care?

As I said, without you having to pay exorbitant subsciptions, the documentary The Magic Pill recounts very accurately the study. Available on Netflix and all other good outlets.

What mrsonde says about others on this page (10) so far is rubbish not worthy of response. What mrsonde says about "others" - by which you mean you, Mr. Solipsist, on this page is 100% true: everything I've said about you here you've just said yourself! You just didn't realise it would once, when this country valued what made it free, have got you shunned in the street.

No he didn't So THIS is supposed to be the scientific proof! A riposte to it is here www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFijW8A2PrcI did find this "Clinical trials using the ketogenic diet for cancer control There are currently 62 trials assessing low carbohydrate diets as a potential therapy for a variety of diseases of which 11 trials are assessing ketogenic diets as an adjuvant cancer therapy. In the University of Würzburg, Germany, patients having failed traditional cancer therapy and with no other salvage options have been enrolled in trials involving the ketogenic diet. Preliminary reports indicate that patients who were able to continue the ketogenic diet therapy for over 3 months showed improvement with a stable physical condition, tumor shrinkage, or slowed growth" from www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4215472Quite possibly I would try the diet if I had cancer. I can only assume he is getting me mixed up with "Louise" again!
