I was just looking at the breeding record. ;D ;D ;D ;D Please, DO share, what 'record' would that be? In any case, I would hope that in these days (when the one thing the world does not lack is people) rational people would be 'breeding' (as you put it) somewhat less.....

God is, and always has been, an explanation for the inexplicable, right from the sun god who brought us warmth and light. The more we understand about the universe the less we need our invisible friend in the sky.

olmy#15 Dear God! History, you Dawk! For goodness sake! Do you understand NOTHING? I want to see what historical data you are using. You know, evidence for what you say. I note also that, once again, you ignore an inconvenient point...........

It could be religious types are more inclined to exterminate atheists and become dominant by natural selection.

abacus9900Yes ... I was just looking at the breeding record. Atheists don't seem to be as productive, somehow. Do you suppose Atheists are not as sexy as Theists? Well, you could argue that (some) atheists are not bothered by any transgressions they might commit (for example sexual activity) in this world since this is all there is and so have little thought about eternal damnation. But, the fact that religion has played such a significant part in many cultures and still does to some extent, makes me wonder what role it has had in contributing to the human success story.

Can anybody help olmy? Apparently he needs to know where to find the history of the human race. In case you haven't noticed, history is contained in many different documents of varying veracity and detail and located in various places. You said "I was just looking at the breeding record". Since you have been unable to say what this 'record' is or where it can be found, I can only assume you were (snip).....

God, olmy, you are soooooo lazy! We live in the Google era now! FOFY! This link took me less time to find than it did to type this sentence; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_religious_groupsAnd scroll down 'til you get to the demographic table. Add the two top monotheistic religions together (because they have the same God of Abraham) ... and then ask, which grouping has been the most successful at passing on their genes? Then for a bit of amusement, look up the global spreading of British genetic material .. a Christian nation. (Here are some clues; USA, Canada, Australia,New Zealand, South Africa, & co., etc, etc,)

carnyx, you twit, you said that you had a 'breeding record' that shows that atheists were 'less productive'.
Obviously you were (snip).
Specific religions are not genetic - it would rather make a mockery of their truth, if they were! You also have to bear in mind that for much of history and much of the world today, not 'towing the line' on the prevailing religion can seriously damage your health, for reasons that have nothing to do with natural selection and everything to do with religious intolerance.
Looking at the recent history of religion in the world is not anything much to do with genetic evolution. If it has anything to do with natural selection, it is meme evolution.

Voilá! .. Natural Selection in action!

Voilá! .. Natural Selection in action! God is Great! (... as Darwin would have to say!) Yeeeesss. So your assertion that Darwin "proved the existence of God" is based on Christians (and other monotheists) being better at intolerance and brutal suppression of opposition than other people.....?

Yes! You've got it!
As you saw in Post#3
And the function of antlers is your;
(from those who would inhibit the transmission of the owner's genes.)
So, I'm very pleased that you get the point that Darwin's Theory of Evolution really does give proof that God really does exist!
