Oh, there's gotta be one for AGW! Environmental. AGW is already swamping the environmental board.

I'm with abacus re an "Earth Science" board - the definition of "Environment" as a subject is changing, and no longer covers volcanology etc.

Yes, I think we have to try to stop other equally valid topics from becoming marginalized, but it's up to Joanne.

How about this then? The Universe (Astronomy, Cosmology, Space Exploration) The Environment (Weather, Climate, Impacts of humanity, Population) Life (Biology, Evolution, Anthropology) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Computers, Electronics, Internet,
Technology, Engineering
HumourGood list and it looks great with the folders showing where new post are too. If you would permit me one criticism/suggestion? What about a General Science board where we can have topics about science in general - obviously! It would allow topics on science in Society, Education, the Media and Television like programs such as 'Bang Goes the Theory', the best popular science program since 'Tomorrows World' that I was glued to as a kid. None of these subjects seem to fit in any of the current science topics nor the Odds and sods one.

I'd agree with this.
For example, the 'soon to be announced' cut in science funding and the implications for the UK.
Where should we discuss this?

It just occurred to me that if you wanted to discuss things like UFOs or ghosts or whatever, would that not need a category of its own? Something like paranormal science or fringe science, or some such name.

Hi Joanne, How about a politics sub-board. It is a science after all - sort of.

Yes, spooky, isn't it, stu? The thread linking to here will be top of the defunct Science Board list for eternity!
