Is a 'warp drive' in principle achievable in the future where space is contracted ahead of a spacecraft and stretched behind it allowing faster than light speed? This would bypass Einstein's restriction of FTL speed because an object would not be moving - it would be space that was being 'warped' which does not violate the laws of physics. Also, the advantage would be that the on-boards clocks would be in sync with all the other clocks on earth since the spacecraft would not be obtaining any more mass.

Oh blimey Speaker, how am I supposed to get my head around all that math?

You don't -- just read the section on Difficulties, which may answer your question. You don't need the maths to understand that.
If you DID, then it would just mean that you'd asked a question where you wouldn't be capable of understanding the answer. Or you'd just have to take the result of the maths on trust. Either way, shows that you could have got an answer to your original question in minutes few.
Which prompts the question -- WHY didn't you do that, why do you expect everyone else to do all the work and explain everything to you before you're prepared to make any effort yourself.....................

Ok, the very first sentence is: "Significant problems with the metric of this form stem from the fact that all known warp drive spacetimes violate various energy conditions." What does that mean?

If you follow the link under energy conditions, it comes up with various energy conditions such as:
These would seem to be both sensible things (density of matter positive or zero, and nowt flows faster than light), hence a spacedrive that violates these would seem to be a bit problematic.

WHAT could there possibly be in those sentences that you don't understand!
Density : simple word matter : simple word positive : simple word
There is NOTHING to not understand! What do you claim is SO HARD............

Thank god for that!........................
Abacus, let me ask you ONE reasonable question (actually, I've already asked it!) -- if you didn't understand any of that, WHY don't you SAY what you don't understand, and ASK. Why just weepy emoticons? Why just the same ole lament that I'm not on your wavelength, that I'm a crap teacher. or whatever else you come out with. Why don't YOU explain what you don't understand and why.....................Because you seem to expect everyone else to explain stuff ad infinitum, yet never attempt to explain anything yourself.
Which just reduces to my previous complaint -- why aren't you prepared to make any EFFORT in your supposed quest for knowledge..............

Abacus, you don't even TRY, you don't answer my simple questions, you don't say WHAT you don;t understand of why, you just cut & paste and cry and whimper via emoticons. I've had better discussions with my toaster, to be totally frank.
Two slices please, medium toasted, go easy on the eject.............
