I've just heard that the government are rolling back their solar panel subsidy because it's costing more than they expected. Perhaps someone showed them this article which got them scratching their heads! www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/mar/30/new-europe-spain-solar-powerHowever, it still beggars belief that they didn't realise from the start that pushing solar panels in a country with a poor sun record (av 1400hrs : Spain = 2800) and offering 43p/kWh was the most unsustainable idea for sustainable energy one can imagine. Still an epiphany at last. Enlightenment comes to all that wait, it just takes our technologically illiterate politicians a bit longer than most! P
