Geography Did you know that the southern tip of Greenland is at the same latitude as Oslo? Did you know the southern tip of Greenland is much more southerly than Iceland? Did you know that the southern tip of Greenland is at the same latitude as the Shetlands? It's actually at the same latitude as Orkney. (Never "The Orkneys" grrr) 58 degrees, 60 minutes North. Similar to the Pribilof Islands too. Did you know that the Atlantic end of the Panama canal is west of the Pacific end? Thrilling eh?

Or that Thunder Bay in Ontario (-40 in a good winter) is south of Jersey in the Channel Isles
It will all change when the EU moves the Greenwich Meridian to Brussels.....
