That is a lovely picture Marchesa.
I have just bought a similar sledge for my granddaughter, also age 2.
At the moment she is towing toys around the lounge, but snow is forecast for the weekend and no doubt I will be seconded to act as a towing vehicle/Sherpa!

That looks like fun Principled, and not quite as much hard work as I am anticipating, but when you enlarge it what are the two animals looking on from the hedgerow?

Jonjel, The photo is taken at my daughter's in-laws house. The animals (not real) are part of the Nativity they set up outside, which even includes a church! The snowmobile (they call them skidoos here) is an amazing experience. The acceleration is phenomenal. The one I was lent (in the picture) has hand and foot warmers. I took it up to 80km/h and then chickened out. The locals do up 110km/h. We were lucky, as the "in laws" garden drops down to a 15km x 5km lake. In the summer they go boating and in the winter they ski, skate and skidoo on it. I also tried my hand at ice fishing for pike, but never got a bite. They fish from inside wooden cabins which they pull on to the lake when it freezes. Having drilled an 20cm hole from inside the shed, they sit with the wood burner going to heat the shed and drink beer!!!
Jonjel, I have to say that this country is a "big boys' toys" paradise. From snowmobiles, to quads with tracks and bulldozer blades and ride on snowblowers!!! It's been an experience, that's for sure! P

It's a good thing that "scientists" will no longer have automatic trust.

I have been there P, but not in winter. One of my best memories was canoeing/portaging and wild camping on the Gibson McKenzie. Around 56 miles in 5 days. Magic, and truly alone with just the natural surroundings.
