Today Focus magazine reports that Berlin has set a new record for the amount of snow on the ground in the month of March. The online news magazine writes: A 16-centimeter blanket of snow covers the capital city on the first day of spring. ‘It’s the highest amount of snow that has been measured here in March in 100 years,“ says meteorologist Dominik Jung of the weather portal wetter.net.” In Germany it’s getting so that children will soon no longer know what bare ground in the wintertime is.

Marchesa Spare a thought for my granddaughters in central Canada. The ground there has been completely covered in snow since late October! It's been a really cold winter there (the worst for many decades) and as I write I see the temp is still -13C. On Saturday I'm seeing my local MP. I wrote to him a couple of weeks ago about the effects of Government's ridiculous energy policy. I of course included all the relevant documents, including the latest research on climate change. If he mentions global warming as an excuse for b....y windmills and solar panels he'll get the research papers stuck somewhere where the sun doesn't shine! P

Well done, principled. I hope your arguments make an impression on you MP. We can't expect them to be well informed about everything.
