The wave energy convertors have eventually been deployed for the first time in more than a year. As you can see they're really "pumping"

Hi RS, how are things up in your neck of the woods these days? I'm surprised they haven't lunched some energy device that uses hot air, 'cos they've been more cabinet meetings north of the border this year than in London!
As regards wave energy devices, they're a bit like wind turbines...as soon as it gets windy enough to get the blades spinning, they have to turn them off to prevent damage!
BTW, I assume you're off to the Lallans to mix with those Anglo Saxon Lowlanders and march shoulder to shoulder with good ol' Alex and the Scottish Team. LOL

Mr P, Things are going tolerably well despite prosecution by the Scottish Government on a trumped up charge and severe harassment by our local environmental health department. Doesn't do to question our dear leaders...
Yes, the wave convertors don't like waves - as you can see by my profile picture. That's what's left of the original "Oyster" device.
I'm amazed that 35% of the Scottish electorate are considering voting "yes", they obviously haven't watched the Scottish parliament in action.

Pleased to report that pelamis has gone into administration and aquamarine (Oyster device) is down the tubes. Happy days.
