Jonjel How little faith you have I've got a wind up radio and it's fantastic. I wind frantically for 10 minutes and voila I get free radio for at least a minute. Having done my bit for global warming, I then switch to normal battery power. What a pity LL isn't about, he'd love this gadget. To make sure you have enough wind and solar power at your fingertips, I suggest buying yourself a fan, connecting it to the mains and stick this gadget in front of it and voila, free energy. Turn the light on, lay out the 4 solar panels supplied under the light and you've got even more free energy. I can see it now, a hat with this gadget incorporated. The rim would locate the solar panels and the turbine would stick out the top. The only disadvantage is that on dull, windless days, you'd need to run at a minimum of 9miles/hr to get the turbine to work. Fat busting, stylish and green. What's the problem with that, Jonjel? P

I think I see where you are coming from Principled.
I must admit the pictures of the joyous young lady cycling and charging her i-pod 'absolutely for free' enthralled me.
I was thinking of putting 100 or so of these on my roof to run the 15w security light, but I might need more than 100.
Ah, LL. I wonder what he is doing now, in between his medication and his obsession with trams, Segways and electric bikes.
Maybe he has joined under a different name......
