Since this board is entitled 'life' it could be an appropriate place for this. If not, I will await the various broadsides. And ignore them.
I saw a quite moving appeal on TV at lunchtime by the widow of the Pakistani politician who was murdered in London last week.
These appeals are now commonplace, but a few years ago they were virtually unknown.
My question is, do they really make any difference at all?
Appeals by a grieving widow are unlikely to jog the consciences of a murderer, so are they likely to jog the memory of someone who suddenly thinks 'Ah yes, I did see a man with a knife but did not think it was very important'
