London now surpasses New York in its murder rate Surely Mrs May must take some responsibility for this, for it is she that reduced 'stop and search' because of the disproportionate number of black people that were stopped
But whatever the reasons for this appalling state of affairs, one can always guarantee that the BBC will pull in some controversial and usually discredited figure to state or imply that the killings are due to racism
And duly today on World At One they did just that - they pulled in ex-Mayor Livingstone's equality adviser, Lee jasper, who resigned the post in somewhat nontransparent circumstances
And Mr Jasper duly implied that it was racism, due to the disproportionate poverty of black young men in London and the fact that the unemployment rate among young black men in London is greater than 50%
The BBC duly accepted these buckets of ordure without question
It sometimes beggars belief how statements that are blatantly false or misleding and that imply racism are allowed to be bandied around without question

An interesting comparison, as the murder rate in NYC has been going down - despite the practice of what they call stop-and-frisk having been in decline as well: It's going down now, because it's worked so effectively in the past, and all the hoods have either moved on or not grown up to be. How New York has turned itself around is the best object lesson we have in how to halt and reverse this sort of gang-culture fuelled crime - Lefties hate this obvious fact, of course, but then they live in the leafy suburbs.
