Did anyone see the docudrama about Hattie Jacques' torrid love affair with her young driver while married to John Le Mesurier, yesterday evening? I never realized Hattie was such a colourful character! You can see it here: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00xllyq/Hattie/

I saw it. I know that she was unfaithful to her husband but that he took the blame to protect her career. However, there was a disclaimer at the start saying that it was was not entirely factual, so I don't know how much of it can be believed.
I hate to see fact and fiction mixed! The BBC did the same thing with their recent docudrama about Eddington and Einstein - some was fact, some was fiction, so you could not really learn much from it. Typical of Arts graduates, who think that it is better to be entertaining than honest.

It seems the kind of thing he might do, being such a considerate man.

Superb tele, Ruth Jones and Robert Bathurst were magical. Only one thing bettered it over the holiday, Eric and Ernie. Whatever, both shows were superb.
