Anyone else planning to do this on Sat or Sun? www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch/takepart.aspxRuddy great sparrowhawk took a blackbird from about 5 foot away from my kitchen window yesterday and no birds have been back since. Amazing to see it happen so close though.

I did mine this morning, Sparrowhawk flew past just at the end so I was able to include that too - triffic!
I got
6 wood pigeons 6 long tailed tits 6 blackbirds 4 bluetits 3 robins 3 great tits 3 coal tits 2 chaffinches 2 jackdaws 1 tree creeper 1 nuthatch 1 black cap 1 bullfinch 1 gold crest
This last I'm especially pleased with. He's a frequent visitor to my pear tree where I hang various feeders, etc but he tends to stay on the floor to pick at the scraps the others drop. He's very small but very brave. he lets me come within about 2 feet before he flies off.
Did anyone else do this survey?
