On Thought for the Day today (am usually still a bed at this time of the morning) I heard this:
‘Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!…Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel’
What a turn of phrase the old translators had.
"Straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel" - now, who does that remind me of?
