1. HM Stanley, one of my favourite colonialists who made incredible journies of discovery in darkest Africa, is now commemorated by a statue in the town he was born in, Denbigh, despite the loud protests of the anti-British, PC wailers
2. The powers of the EHRC under Tevor Philips are to be reduced. The Home Secretay has published a report criticising its activities including its 'weak' (read disgraceful) management of it finances Its role will be scaled back . It will lose its powers to make grants to minority pressure groups and its head Treveor Philips will be made accountable for handling public funds efficiently (makes one wonder why he was not accountable previously) Concerns were expressed that it has not delivered value for money in closing racial divides
I'd say
Well done Theresa May
