Agreed. Ted talks should be recommended on here. I watch them all the time and it could be interesting to post some on their appropriate sections. No time to watch this now but I will.
Do you know if it is possible to post them directly? The all have embed links so it is worth a try.

I remember this topic too and the video does give an example of how people survived when cut off. And it is true - NO ONE knows how to make a pencil!
