The Herald Sun, printed this article from Jill Singer on 22nd June. www.heraldsun.com.au/opinion/sideshow-around-carbon-tax-must-stop/story-fn56az2q-1226079531212First, some stunning rationalization about the merits of lying to get to office: Prime Minister Julia Gillard, as has been widely noted, misled our nation by declaring she wouldn’t introduce such a tax. The worst that can be said is that she lied. The best that can be said is that she lied because we can’t deal with the truth....I’m prepared to keep an open mind and propose another stunt for climate sceptics – put your strong views to the test by exposing yourselves to high concentrations of either carbon dioxide or some other colourless, odourless gas – say, carbon monoxide. You wouldn’t see or smell anything. Nor would your anti-science nonsense be heard of again. How very refreshing. As Anthony Watts says, that’s some seriously ugly thinking lady.

"Australian climate researchers face death threats" physicsworld.com/cws/article/news/46321comment: I 'Googled' the title "Australian climate researchers face death threats" and suspect some 'news management' here, and it follows on from MM's post www.heraldsun.com.au/opinion/sideshow-around-carbon-tax-must-stop/story-fn56az2q-1226079531212 where Julia Singer states "I'm prepared to keep an open mind and propose another stunt for climate sceptics - put your strong views to the test by exposing yourselves to high concentrations of either carbon dioxide or some other colourless, odourless gas - say, carbon monoxide. You wouldn't see or smell anything. Nor would your anti-science nonsense be heard of again. How very refreshing." Comment: Julia Singer's remark at the beginning of the quote above 'I'm prepared to keep an open mind' shows the hatred involved. Irony or oxy-'moron'? or how about a 'Carbon dioxymoron' hey I've coined a new 'gas'! I'm surprised at PhysWorld at their verbatim reporting of the language used in the emails in the second paragraph. It lends credence of some 'news management'. StuartG
