I have to admit being a bit of a fruit nut. Indeed, there are times when I think I am the reincarnation of a fruit bat! Anyway, there is currently an advert about an enamel strengthening toothpaste that neutralises the acidic effects of fruit on the enamel. This got me thinking about why most fruits are acidic, rather than alkaline. Anyone any ideas? I then made the mistake of searching for "alkaline fruits" and came up with what appears to be some really woo woo sites. The link below talks about What's all that about? : www.essense-of-life.com/moreinfo/foodcharts.htmand this? www.alkaline-alkaline.com/ph_food_chart.htmlAny ideas, because as a fruit bat it's crucial that I keep me pH in balance otherwise I can't get my sonar to go ping!
