Hi striker It's the fact that many formulae use 2pi and it would be simpler to replace this with Tau. It would seem that amongst some scientists this really gets them hot under the collar. Personally, it seems a bit of a non-event , but hey what do I know? P

Striker I wish. No, I am (was!) a lowly mechanical engineer. I'm just amazed how much interest this issue provoked. If you are interested here's the Tau manifesto! (see tauday.com/ ) P
