I see O2 are sponsoring 10 10 - the eco-fascists.
I'll be changing networks tomorrow.

This is not a parody - It's serious.

Here was a propaganda video made for the last Copenhagen Climate Conference.
This is a classy one because it has orchestral music background!

Ah, a report from Fox news. Trust you Marchesarosa to source news from an organisation globally regarded as the most trusted for it's well balanced reportage and lack of politically driven hysteria since the demise of Pravda. Well done!
The debate on this film has very quickly disappeared from most European media yet it's still running in the USA. That says a lot to me. This is a parody of extremism and the people with their fingers on the button may well have been 'denialist;' the message would be the same but can you imagine the furore that would cause? Of course the film is satirical. The outraged correspondents to the WUWT commentary keep glibly referring to Monty Python and Blackadder as comparable forms of satire. The Americans have clearly never seen Chris Morris's profoundly satirical tv series Brass Eye (I have mentioned this above). I understand how some folk may be disturbed by this film but they didn't have to watch it. It hasn't been on tv and is no longer on YouTube so they must have looked for it. The absurdity of exploding children, David Ginola and Gillian Anderson for their beliefs isn't worth analysis in the context of this thread and the fact that it's dark wit lies in the shadow of real life events in Pakistan and Mexico amongst many others makes the absurdity of the extremism shown in the 10:10 film all the more poignant for us here in the UK.

Then why. helen, have 1010 deleted the video from their website. It is a despicable piece of green propaganda from a rapidly diminishing sect. Every dog has it's day. The green extremists have had theirs. I fear the backlash when proper environmental issues are sidelined or worse. p.s. Fox news and their journalists have one telling difference compared to your favoured organisations - they encourage viewers to do their own research and cut through the propaganda. Never hear that from the BBC/Guardian/Independent etc etc etc. It's their opinion or you're a denier/mentally impaired/ irresponsible etc. Fascism isn't dead.

And these green activists who produced the 10:10 garbage propaganda led by the nose by the likes of enviro-psychologist Ben Goldacre (so beloved of Helen et al) have the nerve to state that sceptics have some psychological defect that prevents them perceiving the truth about CO2?
Long live such defects! I’m proud of mine. So, offf to the gulag or the closed psycho ward with me, I guess, in the Brave New Decarb World!

As always, Helen can be relied upon to try to attack the messenger because she is devoid of actual material to deal with the arguments in the appropriate way - by reason.
Helen has form for trying to smear the reputations of contrarian scientists. Now it is Fox News she attacks for following the story.
Stick to the Guardian, Helen, and the BBC if the ideological purity of pre-digested pap is the most important element you require from your news service.
Personally, I gather my info quite indiscriminately from various sources and then try to sort the wheat from the chaff for myself using my god-given reason. Helen should try that strategy once in a while.

"Poignant"? Helen has the brass neck to use the word "poignant" with respect to this travesty of 10:10 propaganda!
"Dark wit"?. Get a grip, lady, your psychiatry is slipping somewhat! Do you need to consult Dr Ben for a bit more psychopathy?

Helen Call me a prig, call me inquisitive, in fact call me what you like, but I have an interest in what my tax is being used to produce, and this organisation is partly funded through various gov. agencies. PLUS anyone who doesn't know the difference between satire and gratuitous scenes of violence perhaps should not be allowed near organisations that may influence future government policies, we know what can happen when a group get it in their head that they know how to cure society's ills! I’m sorry Helen, The latest 1010 video should never have been released and especially not on You Tube where any child could see it. Little children don’t necessarily understand “satire”, “absurdity” and “poignancy” and don’t necessarily know when not to watch something (until they’ve seen it). The basic and overriding message in this video is ‘there is a bomb underneath your chair at school and if you don’t pretend you agree with AGW, your teacher is going to kill you by clicking the button on her desk and blowing you into bloody little pieces’. This is the stuff of nightmares, it is the climate of fear and it is brought to us by those who seek to protect children from anthropogenic climate change! One of the most frightening things is that you, a teacher I believe, are there at the desk in front of our children and you appear to think it was OK to make this video and release it on You Tube for our children to see. That the film is no longer on You Tube and that it has not been on TV, does not make anything OK. Whatever, one's views on AGW, this video is indefensible on any grounds.

"Statement from 10:10 UK director 4 Oct 10 As you may have heard, last week, 10:10 made a mistake by releasing a short film about cutting carbon which was supposed to be humourous but in the event upset a lot of people. We quickly realised that we had made a serious mistake and took it down from our website within hours." continued at... www.1010global.org/uk/2010/10/statement-1010-uk-director
