She's sorry for having brought a load of ordure down about here ears, that's all, stu. There will be no self-examination, though. Same as Helen, she's so sure she's right and that anything goes because the end justifies the means, that she's is incapable of perceiving the enormity of the careless assumptions that are being made.
The greater the sceptical opposition the greater the irrationality of the green militants' retaliation is revealed.

From the Director of 10 10: She forgot to add "immature", "naive", and "but I thought our message was loud and clear... if one of your family or friends doesn't save 10%, waste em and do the planet a favour." P

I pressed the red button on my Sky remote last night while watching David Attenborough and my wife exploded. There's an awful lot of hair on the ceiling. Beware Principled!!!
Does anyone know a good barber with plastering skills?
Or even a good plasterer with a hair fetish?
Now, where's that Sky remote ... ughh, all the buttons are red!

Tell me what You think?
-----
I am aghast at the extent of the involvement of vast swathes of western capitalism and various sources of government and NGO finance in this "AnthropogenicClimateChangeism" business.
AnthropogenicClimateChange and its associated businesses models and scams is clearly the great white hope for rescuing ailing western capitalism. It's the latest "bubble" devised by freeloaders to replace the property bubble which kept us all afloat so nicely for so long as large chunks of Western capitalism went down the drain. It won't work. Only genuine inventiveness and ingenuity will be the West's salvation. Maybe we need to get a bit poorer before we can get rich again. We are on a cusp. "AnthropogenicClimateChange" is a big distraction from reality but it's making the usual suspects rich while the rest of the plebs are getting poorer.

I acknowledge that capitalists are going to make a killing out of the carbon scam, but isn't it the left that are most enthusiastic about it? I know the renewables nonsense will put energy at a ruinous price and that the green (red) movement are gaining enormous power. Aren't the capitalists just making the best of a bad job?

Good grief, what a reactionary bunch you are. Book burning next is it? Reading through the past few pages of comment on my take on the 10:10 film has been like reading the responses to some pinko scare story in the Daily Mail. I don't care what the sponsors of the film say I stand by my thoughts, you boycott O2 if you must, who will remember why or even care that you did in a year? All advice taken on board, I find I learn most effectively, as an autodidact, by applying myself to the thoughts raised by the more personally disparaging and invectively raddled comments but I'll attend instead to my intellectual and political failings first as these seem to be more upseting to you all. Hey, yes, I'm a science teacher and guess what, just because I live in a modern, socially liberal twenty first century european country I wouldn't dream of showing that film in school but wonder of wonders almost all the sixth formers had seen it and guess what else? They saw the point in it; the parody of how dissent is dealt with under brutal regimes and so on as I explained in a post further up the thread. All you people have seen is the violence. My teenagers understood perfectly the point being made by the director in exploding children, it was discussed rationally and in some depth and yes there were some who found it a little ott but they could see the point; one bright lad even saw the same film being made with the protgonist's roles reversed and found that even darker and more profound. For what it's worth, I'll not be joining your reactionary love-in for a while (which is where every climate debate descends here) until you've all taken a course of Librium and shaken this hysterical name calling and persecution of folk with whom you disagree without the use of rational argument from your pyches. This is not science. This an annex of The Daily Mail and Watts Up With That. Apologies to Stuart, I believe you to be a true sceptic rather than a dogmatic denier. Good evening to you all......see you soon, maybe, but only to discuss science not films or art. Scientists don't understand films or art or twenty first century teenagers do they?

I'm sure your sixth formers saw the point in it. When their young impressionable minds have been filled with eco-propaganda from an early age, they have been conditioned to accept and identify with this trash as a matter of course. If you don't feel comfortable on a board that allows free and mainly unfettered posting, then it says more about your ideological conditioning than the "colour" of this site. Don't you find it even slightly disquieting that the warmist sites are infinitely less free than the sceptic sites? Are you as comfortable with censorship as you are with this nasty little film.
Really helen - screaming children graphically blown apart?? Another mental step towards accepting atrocities. How long before it's acceptable to herd dissenters into gas chambers?
