Well, give up on us, then. Go out and recruit people who you think could possibly be as educated and intelligent and of balanced personality, as you. And then you can stop wasting our time. Nah nah nah? Really? That's your level of rational argument? That's the best you can do? A trained civil servant? Really?

The trouble with you is that if someone says something you don't like, you call it an insult. Even tho your insults are legend.
Man up.

To return to the issue. Dispute my facts. If you can't, save your insults. Or, expect some in return. You'll lose that game. Those are the rules. Understand?

Then why did you lie by giving a definition you know was false? Trying to fool people? It's not the "ordinary" meaning at all. The only signalling is that you don't understand the meaning of a word you've tried to impress people you know how to use. I repeat - look it up in a dictionary. Learn something. As you know, I called it an ordinary meaning, not 'the' one, so I didn't lie, so stop spraying around the insults.

You've simply misunderstood the meaning of a word. It's not an insult. For the third time, look it up in a dictionary, and stop making such a fool of yourself.

I rest my case on your arrogance, indeed authoritarianism. Very happy for this thread to get back to the real issue, which I think you may've had a hand in subverting.

Lookup the many definitions yourself, amongst which you'll find 'extreme egocentrism'.

Now, we really are getting close to the proper definition of the term "solipsism", indeed. It would seem that you're the one suffering from that particular psychological disturbance, my friend. How so? Can you answer this? Errr...let me give a predictive guess. No.

Lookup the many definitions yourself, amongst which you'll find 'extreme egotism'. Go on. That's not yet a definition. Quote, please. No dictionary would be so incompetent as your understanding, I believe. Even in this era of online dumbing-down. Give us a quote. Personally, I think you're making it up. Or, asserting your own reality without any regard to anyone else - a fairly good definition of solipsism.

I referred to your authoritarianism as you mentioned rules and said Understand? (I did hate school.)

Hang on in there, buddy. Quote from a dictionary, please! You want to say you really meant to say I was "egocentric"? Errr...I raise my shoulders in bemusement. About all I can manage, I'm afraid. I do more work for other people than you do, I'm pretty certain of that much. Unpaid. So - I shrug my shoulders.

I referred to your authoritarianism as you mentioned rules and said Understand? And? Do what you like. Where's any "authority" in that? I'm just telling you - you'll lose that particular game. I know, from long experience from people like you, and a certain amount of experience of you yourself.

We owe more to Merriam-Webster than you, or most people, think. Don't be so sniffy. Anti-Americanism isn't a good idea. Especially if we're leaving the EU.
If you want to choose one meaning of egocentric as 'selfish’, you can.
But don’t imply that the work I do and’ve done for others has been minimal and paid. You deserve a medal, tho.
